Breathing New Life into an Heirloom Settee

 Our lovely clients had a settee dilemma. This spare room was crowded with a family heirloom sofa.

They wanted to pass this on to their daughter but she did not love the fabric.

Here is the sofa before:

Well, a few visits to Calico Corners http://www.calicocorners.com/  later and we selected this updated fabric.

Our fantastic upholsterer picked it up. Here it is, next to his car, in progress...

Here it is, installed at the clients home. 

We plan on adding additional throw pillows.

The wall paint is Sherwin Williams Universal Khaki.

The next project for this space  is hanging a collection of  family photos, gallery style on the wall behind the settee.

I am so glad this will live on as a family heirloom!
